You also need to copy the global.rpgsave file. It worked for me after that.
You should have another file in your savegame folder, global.rpgsave. Copy that as well. Don't blame the devs.
Where in the Forest? I had a good look around and couldn't find it.
By the library, you need to bust through the wall.
